From Steven & Elly
“We met in 2009 at a mutual friend’s Pyjama party and over the next few years explored the world both together and apart. We visited exciting cities and countries together and even lived in the odd one. During our travels we saw so many amazing things, that at the time we did not realise would help shape who we are and inspire our style and the style of our wedding.
On our world trip in 2012 we were very fortunate to become the proud owners of “Florence”, our 1967 VW Splitscreen Kombi, who is an absolute treat and a special member of our family. Together with Florence we camped besides fields of flowers in France, toured the Champagne region with Elly’s parents, stayed in a vintage caravan park in the Pyrenees, putted around the majestic fjords of Norway… and much more! Florence was our home whilst we travelled Europe and was a huge part of many treasured memories shared. There was no way we were going to leave her behind! She is full of character and sentiment, and so was naturally a perfect wedding car for our big day.
But after all this travel it is home that really defines who we are. We met in our home city of Perth, Steve proposed at the beach a short stroll from Elly’s childhood home, and we held our wedding at home in our beautiful backyard. This time our families and friends travelled to see us on our special day and were able to enjoy the home that we have created, inspired by the experiences of our time together. We look forward to the exciting chapter, and making more memories full of love, joy and adventure.”
